The Nigerian Wigan Athletic player Victor Moses still center of controversy between it's move to Chelsea, his boss Roberto Martinez has claimed that the speculation in view to his movement is a positive one, but refused to be drawn into the media debate.
The 21-year-old forward has revealed that he will not be signing a new deal, fueling the rumours that he is on his way out of the club.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move, but Wigan claim that they have no intention of parting with the Nigerian. Martinez, who had lengthy discussions over a switch to Liverpool.
"We're not going to be drawn into the media speculation," he told the Wigan Evening Post.
"All I will say is that Victor had a tremendous season last year - particularly after Christmas - and he is still only 21.
"I'm really looking forward to Victor having a very good break and coming back refreshed and ready to go. As I always say, the speculation is only a good thing - because when you perform well you are going to get attraction from elsewhere."
The Club turned down a £4m offer for the Nigerian international, who has just 12 months left on his current contract.
"We don't need to sell him with 12 months to go on his contract because he is under 24, so wouldn't be going on a free transfer," Whelan Wigan Athletic chairman told ESPN.
"Ideally, we would like him to sign a new contract, or a club like Chelsea would have to be realistic.
Wigan Athletic are understood to want £12m for winger Victor Moses among the interested party from Chelsea and Liverpool.
£10m bid from the Blues for the 21-year-old was rejected last month.
"Providing Wigan can agree a fee with Chelsea, I will do all I can to make the move happen for Victor," Tony Finnigan Victor Moses agent told The Metro.
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan now wants an improved offer if he is to part with one of the club's star players, according to The Mirror.
Moses joined Wigan in a £2.5m deal from Crystal Palace in 2010.
