HRH Prince Harry’s escapades in Las Vegas most likely will result in punishment from the military, but sources have revealed it shouldn’t be too extensive.

Military sources have revealed to the Sunday Telegraph that Prince Harry will be verbally reprimanded for his actions, reminded of his responsibilities as an officer in the British Army, and asked to donate wages to charity.

The head of the Army, General Sir Peter Wall, is a disciplinarian who does not believe that a soldier’s off-duty behavior is private. The General will write to the Prince’s commanding officer who will then interview the Prince, known in the military as Captain Harry Wales, before leveling the punishment.

These actions are standard protocol and would be the same for any officer who engaged in similar activities. It is unclear if the fallout could include a change in plans for the Prince’s upcoming Afghanistan deployment.

Prince Harry isn’t the only member of his family to have received such treatment. Four years ago, HRH Prince William also found himself in hot water after he had used part of his flying training to attend a bachelor party and practiced landing and taking-off from the Middleton’s garden.
