The Lagos State Police Command says it has commenced moves to identify the policewoman caught in a video footage demanding a bribe of N100 from a commercial bus driver.
In a short text message reply to our correspondent’s inquiry, the Public Relations Officer of the command, Ngozi Braide, said, “We have commenced investigation, please.’’
Efforts made to get her elaborate on the state and current level of investigations was futile as she did not pick up calls placed to her phone.

Also, when contacted, the Acting Force Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, directed our correspondent back
to Braide.
In the video which first appeared on YouTube and had gone viral on some social networking sites, the yet-to-be identified policewoman was heard insisting on collecting the N100 bribe from a driver who she apprehended for violating a traffic offence. However, the driver’s appeal to her that he should be allowed to proceed on his journey fell on deaf ears as she insisted on collecting the bribe.

The policewoman was heard saying, “E no concern me. Pay me my own money.”
The driver, who having realised the insistence of the policewoman, to collect the bribe, directed his bus conductor to give her the money.

The video, which was shot by someone sitting in the bus, at the time of filing this report had attracted over 23,000 views on YouTube.
