Nicholas Cage has been criticized by a Los Angeles based movie shop for reportedly failing to return two of their rented DVDs.
After traditional means failed, Old Bank DVD has resorted to mocking the 48-year-old actor on Facebook, hoping to get the actor's attention.
Employees of the company have posted photos showing
Cage's face superimposed on other peoples' bodies - from wrestler Andre the Giant to Demi Moore's famous 'Vanity Fair' cover, the BBC reported.
"Gonna keep posting these until we get our DVD's returned Nic," employees wrote.
"Share this and hopefully in a six degrees of Facebook separation kinda way we'll finally get em back," they wrote.
According to TMZ.com, the 'Con Air' star owes 224.48 dollars in late fees for two movies that he had rented in April - 'A Star is Born' and 'The King of Comedy.'
Later Cage called the store in person after the oversight came to his attention and the owner told the website that the actor "was cool and didn't take any offense to the store calling him out on Facebook."
And the store chose to be forgiving charging just 20 dollars in late fees per movie.
The store posted an update on its Facebook page saying: "As a token of our appreciation for all the fine work Mr. Cage has done in film, with any rental this weekend, our customersmay also pick one Nicolas Cage movie for free."
"And that's like half our store, I mean seriously, that's one hard working actor ;-). Welcome back anytime Nic," the store wrote.
