The gloves also have special capacitive thread in the fingertips so a touchscreen can be used.
An enterprising Italian firm has come up with the design of a hand glove that you can talk to. The accessory is expected to be a hit in extremely cold climes especially during winter when it is difficult for owners of touchscreen to use their handset without freezing.
This is how it works – the left glove has a speaker and microphone sewn into the thumb and little finger, while the fingertips have a special thread so a touchscreen can be used.
‘The hi-Call Man Black is the new sensational product for winter 2012,’ the Italian firm which makes the gadget, called Hi-fun, boasts on its website.
‘A pair of warm gloves, perfect for every sport, from skiing to running, with hi-Call you can control the touch screen of your smartphone thanks to the capacitive technology.
‘The left glove has a speaker and a microphone sewed into thumb and little finger, in order to speak to the phone, while protecting from cold.’
The glove also has a rechargeable battery built in, which has a talk time of 20 hours. It is recharged using a cable.
They will cost around £50 (approx. N13,000) when they go on sale next week.
