This is because a new ring that promises to keep spouses faithful by imprinting the words, “I’m married” into the wearer’s finger has been designed. The declaration is carved into the inside of the band.

Although the titanium rings have been on sale since June on the website TheCheeky.com for Just $550 (around N83,000), it is not public knowledge yet if
it has ever assisted in exposing an unfaithful partner.

The manufacturer pokes fun at some high profile unfaithful partners as it writes “With Arnold, Tiger and two timing IMF guy in mind, we have created this wedding ring for people intent on cheating”.

However the ring poses certain mind boggling questions such as:

1) Wouldn’t the imprint fade in 20 minutes, giving the wearer ample time to carry out their plans?

2) What if the person who is cheating with the wearer simply doesn’t care that they’re married? (Or, as an especially observant Twitter user pointed out, what if they can’t read?!)

3) If you feel the need to purchase this, shouldn’t you reexamine your relationship?

Basically, this item would be purchased under the assumption that its wearer was going to be unfaithful at some point, which really should be a deal breaker at the start.

Furthermore, we’re guessing that men won’t be too keen to slip this on their fingers, because it brands them as potential cheaters. And we say “men” only because there doesn’t appear to be a women’s version at all.

So, how many women would be willing to buy this ring for their men and how many men would agree to wear it?
