Renewed violent clash between two cult groups, Vikings and Black Axe at the Edo State owned Ambrose Alli University (AAU) on Tuesday left two students dead and another seriously
injured.
According to witnesses, a former member of the Vikings who later renounced cultism and became a member of anti-cult group in the
university had an altercation with a Black Axe member.
Although the quarrel was reportedly settled, implacable members of the Black Axe allegedly mobilised and attacked members of the Vikings rival cult group, during which the students lost their lives.
The identities of the dead students were unknown at press time. When contacted on phone, Public Relations Officer of the university, Sir. Chris Adamaigbo said he was in a meeting and could not speak on
the matter.
