This is my take on the top five transfers completed in Europe so far, judging by the players' ability and not the value-for money – you don't have to agree.
5) Isco - Malaga CF to Real Madrid
Isco is quickly becoming one of the most talented youngsters in Spain, and many believe that he will lead the future generation of Spain stars.
Small, quick on his feet, and with good vision, Isco is your typical Spanish midfielder. At the age of 21, he was the linchpin of the Malaga team that finished sixth in La Liga, making a surprise run to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
After the departure of playmaker Santi Cazorla to Arsenal, Isco has been Malaga's main man, with many clubs attempting to lure him away.
Real Madrid eventually swooped in and completed a €27million deal for the ultra-talented youngster, hoping for him to play a part in breaking Barcelona's stranglehold on the Primera Division next season.
4) Mario Götze - Borussia Dortmund to Bayern Munich
In what was seen as a betrayal of sorts by Dortmund fans, Mario Götze recently completed a move to arch rivals Bayern Munich, the reigning European champions.
Only 21, Gotze has already been touted as the future of German football, he has 22 caps for the national side and already has five goals to his name.
He played a major role in Borussia Dortmund's two consecutive title-winning seasons prior to last term and managed to grab 16 goals in the 2012/13 campaign.Perhaps attempting to weaken their main rivals, the big Bavarian club bought Dortmund's superstar by activating his release clause of €37million, making him the most expensive German player to date.
3) Neymar - Santos FC to FC Barcelona
Many people expected Neymar to move away from Brazil years ago, but he chose to stay with Santos until this season before finally completing a €57million deal to Barcelona.
There he will get to show his worth alongside such world stars as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi.
Neymar is deservedly the poster boy of the Brazilian national team, with 39 caps and 24 goals at only 21, and playing a starring role at the recently concluded Confederations Cup.
Many expect him to shine at the 2014 World Cup next year, but only time will tell whether this youngster can live up to the hype surrounding him.
2) Edinson Cavani - Napoli to Paris Saint Germain
Very simply, a goal-scoring machine. After being linked with many top clubs in England and Spain, Edinson Cavani completed a €60million transfer to Ligue 1 on 16 July 2013, where he will link up with Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Cavani scored 38 goals in 43 games for Napoli last season, and was the top scorer in Serie A.
He has been a consistent forward for some time now, notching up 33 goals in each of the two seasons previous to last.
PSG have surely got their hands on one of the best poachers in Europe, and linking him up with the Swedish giant, could be simply devastating.
1) Radamel Falcao - Atletico Madrid to AS Monaco
AS Monaco, a team newly promoted to Ligue 1, have got one of the best, or maybe even the best striker in the world right now.
Falcao is a born goalscorer; whether with his left foot, right foot or his head, Falcao specialises in putting the ball into the net.
Affectionately known as "El Tigre", Falcao scored a whopping 34 goals in the 2012/2013 season, only behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga scoring charts.
AS Monaco have not only got their hands on a brilliant player, but one of the best players in world football at the moment. Perhaps, in the coming season, he may prove that he is truly worth the €60million they Monaco paid for him.
