According to Punch, the General Overseer, Assemblies of Giants, Abuja, Prophet Paul John, on Friday, said that contrary to some predictions, Nigeria would not disintegrate.

He stated that despite the current developmental and security challenges in the country, Nigeria would emerge stronger and play leading roles in the comity of nations.

He spoke to our correspondent in Ilorin on the sideline of a thanksgiving service at the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church, Airmen Quarters, Oloje, in honour of Flight Sergeant Tanko Barnabas, who recently returned from peace keeping mission in Mali.

"Nigeria will not split. It is a wrong prophesy that Nigeria will break up. We will not break up. Those who are predicting that Nigeria will break up are not the makers of heaven and the earth. God has said that Nigeria will not break. If you are a Muslim or a Christian, continue to serve God," John said.

The cleric also cautioned Nigerian politicians to eschew corruption and mismanagement of public funds.

He deplored the high rate of unemployment and poverty in the country.

He warned politicians, who are jostling for public offices in 2015, to avoid unholy compromises.
He urged them to work for the interest of the nation and the electorate and not for self.

The cleric said that God would wipe out politicians with negative tendencies and indulgencies before 2015.

He advised politicians with untoward and selfish ambitions to refrain from such, adding that they should work towards the alleviation of the suffering of Nigerians and for nation-building.

"2015 is a year of faithfulness; I hope and pray for faithfulness on the part of the aspirants and those seeking for elective positions. We desire faithfulness and righteousness.

"God will wipe off politicians with negative tendencies before 2015. God is about to bring out a new Nigeria. God is about to do a massive turnaround in the country.

So, if you area fake politician, you will not be there by 2015 because God is not interested in wrong people," he said.
