Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs expects several teams to battle it out for the Premier League title this season.

Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs believes that the 2013/14 Premier League season will be the toughest yet.
The Red Devils won their 20th league title last season, which is their 13th since the Premier League was established in 1992.

Giggs believes that retaining the title will be a difficult task, with Manchester City and Chelsea strengthening their squads over the summer. He also thinks that managerial changes could have an effect on who comes out on top in May.

"It's a big change here with Sir Alex Ferguson going - but it's also all change at Chelsea and Manchester City and no-one really knows what is going to happen," Giggs told The Sun.

"There are some really good teams and really good managers battling it out, so it's going to be closer than ever.
"All the top teams have great quality. City will want to win the league back, Chelsea have got the experience of Jose Mourinho back and, of course, we are the champions.

The Manchester United stalwart also tipped Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool to also make an impact in the coming season.
He continued: "Then you've got clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all fighting.
"It promises to be a really exciting season. But when you are champions you are itching to get back. You want that challenge again and you can't wait for the season to start."

With a whole host of managerial changes and transfers, the 2013/14 Premier League season promises to be best yet.
