The men of the FCT State Security Services, SSS, have arrested two suspects for beheading a 7-year-old boy and attempting to sell the head.

The suspects, John Yakubu, 25, and Ishaya Dakulung, 30, were arrested last Sunday at about 1:30 am along A.Y.A junction of Asokoro District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Abuja, following a tip off.

Dakulung, confessed to
newsmen that he contacted John Yakubu to get a fresh human head after he was approached by an unnamed person who was in need of it.

According to Dakulung, he promised to give Yakubu a sum of N250, 000 if he succeeded in
getting someone to provide the head.

Yakubu, on the other hand, said he went back to his village, Angwa Galadima in Nasarawa state, where he lured his neighbour’s child, 7 year-old Samu Danjuma to a stream with a bread worth N20.

While at the stream, John said he encouraged the boy to take his bath along with him, and then drowned him in the process.

He confessed to severing little Samu’s head after ensuring that he was dead and then left behind the remains of his body in the stream.
Luck, however, ran out for the suspects when they were accosted and arrested in Abuja by men of the FCT State Security Services, who
swung into action following a tip-off.

According to the Assistant Director in charge of Operations for FCT SSS, Ibrahim Halilu, who addressed newsmen while parading the suspects, investigation was on-going and the suspects would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed.
